Booting

I am getting problem while booting the server. I had made some changes in the system file & rebooted the server. But it gave me error as follows :
TSI - gfxp0 is GFX8P @ 1152x900
inittab file is truncated or corrupted. Cannot create /var/adm/utmpx.
Enter passwd for root or type control "d" to resume.
But when I give passwd or control d there is no response from server.
I have E-420R server with Solaris 8.
Any help is highly appreciated. Anyone over there can give me the solution please.
