Strange error message from Newsprint....

2007-12-25 8:18:00

My original message below asking about what certain newsprint

errors meant (actually how to get rid of them). The answer to solve

my Newsprint problem boiled down to deinstalling and then reinstalling

the printer. Use the commands "rm_np_printer" followed by

"add_np_printer". Things now seem to work just fine... We'll see if

problems start up again. Openwindows 3.0 patch 100444-40 for xnews

was also mentioned as fixing many problems in xnews which Newsprint

relies on.

------- Start of forwarded message -------

I hope someone can shed light on this Newsprint error message. Shortly

after we replaced our printer drum (for the first time) on our

SparcPrinter hanging off of a SS2 running 4.1.3 and Newsprint 2.0 we

started getting the following error messages in our log and then

printed out after the job on a banner page. This happens for ALL print

jobs. I have power cycled the SS2 and the SPARCprinter all to no avail.

Thoughts?
