Slow grapping of licenses

We have a license server for simulations.
Normally, it's fast to grap a free license, say 5s..
However, recently, we're experiencing very slow grapping
and the apps open up very slow in the screen even though
there're free licenses.....
Can anyone advise which checking I should proceed ?
