ultra 10 not getecting tape drive

i am having a sun ultra 10 which is having solaris 2.6 h/w:2 patch level
3.......now i have newly installed a
375-0097 Single-Channel Single-Ended Ultra/Wide SCSI (PCI)
on the riser board pci slot 4.....now i am able to view the card on ok
prompt "show-devs" but a tape drive or cdrom drive "probe-scsi-all" on
this card isnt getting detected .the system is having two ide hdds as
master & slave on the primary cable & an ide cdrom as the secondary
master.
all help is appreciated..i will summarise
