Sniffit

Does anyone have any experience installing/using sniffit on SunOS
5.8/Solaris 8?

I have downloaded sniffit 0.3.7 (Beta) and after finally getting all the
dependancies loaded, sucessfully installed it (so it said). However,
whenever I try to run it I immediately get a Segmentation Fault and a core
dump... Doesn't matter what settings I request all crash it other than the
sniffit -v (for version/help).
