V440 ALOM Console redirect failing
2007-12-25 5:48:00
Quick query; I've got 1 hour left to figure this out or abort :)
We have a V440 which I'm attempting to configure up to use ALOM. I can
connect to the ALOM card no problem, and get to the "sc>" prompt fine.
When I type "console" to get to the console, I just get nothing however;
I can't input anything and nothing is coming back in my direction either.
I thought this would be a console redirect issue, so I've set:
output-device=ttya
input-device=ttya
as per Sun docs, and powered off, then on, but the same thing happens -
I can get to the sc prompt but not into console mode.
Am I missing something obvious here? Here's my showsc output:
sc> showsc -v

If I can't get this to work the thing is being ripped out and I'll use
TTYB :) Of course I'll summarize.
cheers
