Suggestions for rdist-like service from NT to Solaris

I need to run a process each night to copy changed files from a W2K
server to a Solaris 2.8 system (with Samba). I would like to use
something similar to rdist and have looked at smbtar, shlight (rumba),
and rsync. Can anyone advise on what they have used to solve a similar
problem in their environment?
