Oracle over NFS

Yes, my reaction to the subject is the same as yours! :)
However... it seems Oracle use NetApp Filers as storage for their own
e-business databases. (gigabit ethernet of course). Does anyone have any
experience with running Oracle 8 DBs on a Filer (either using NFS or DAFS)
who could give me a little guidance here?
