SUMARY: lastcomm

acctcom -s 05:00 -f /var/adm/pacct1
Where the pacct1 had this information I was looking for

Subject: lastcomm
Hello group, I have question about lastcomm or any other utility which would
let me see what was done on the system at given time. What I understand
lastcomm can display such information but it uses /var/adm/pacct I believe.
For example my system went down at right around 5am this morning. When I do
lastcomm I can see everything up till 11am. Is there any way to use
different pacct file? Here is the list I have:

-rw-r--r-- 1 adm adm 337480 Jan 25 03:00 /var/adm/pacct1
-rw-r--r-- 1 adm adm 661160 Jan 25 04:00 /var/adm/pacct2
-rw-r--r-- 1 adm adm 658600 Jan 25 05:00 /var/adm/pacct3
-rw-r--r-- 1 adm adm 665440 Jan 25 06:00 /var/adm/pacct4
-rw-r--r-- 1 adm adm 697000 Jan 25 07:00 /var/adm/pacct5
-rw-r--r-- 1 adm adm 672120 Jan 25 08:00 /var/adm/pacct6
-rw-r--r-- 1 adm adm 664240 Jan 25 09:00 /var/adm/pacct7
-rw-r--r-- 1 adm adm 663720 Jan 25 10:00 /var/adm/pacct8
-rw-r--r-- 1 adm adm 663040 Jan 25 11:00 /var/adm/pacct9
I would like to use /var/adm/pacct3 I am not sure if my thinking is correct
so if you guys know of any other way how to see what exactly was going on on
the system please let me know. I did check all the logs available and I cant
see anything. I was told by another SA that the system was at the ok prompt
when he got to it. I know that there is a console hooked up to it and send
break could be issue but if I could see what was executed before 5-6am I
could probably rule this out. Thanks for any advice.
