Disappearing /tmp Sitcky Bit on Solaris 2.6 and 7 Systems

examining all systems, have discovered that the
'sticky bit' has been removed from /tmp on all 2.6 and
7 systems and they're simply set at 777. (/var/tmp
still has the sticky bit set.)
Would this have had to be manually removed or is there
some precedence for 2.6 and 7 shipping with /tmp set
to -rwxrwxrwx ?
Will, of course, summarize.
