jumpstart error - very urgent

2007-12-24 22:12:00

Hello Sun-Managers,

I'm getting very strange error while installing
Solaris 2.5.1 from a remote cdrom.

I've mounted the cdrom of 2.5.1 on remote machine and
run add_install_client -i <IP> -e <Ether Net add>
hostname <Platform>

when from the destination host if I run boot net or
boot net - install it goes till configuring /dev
directory after that it says :

Error: boot server and install server images are not
same version
re-install setup_install_server.
machine model - ss5
Solaris : 2.5.1

I really don't understand why I'm getting this error ?
though I'm using the single cdrom and I 'm using it
from last 6-7 months.

Whole day I've tried various options but I've end up
in nothing this I'm doind on SS5 machine and the same
SS5 machine can be installed from the same cdrom from
a local cdrom drive if instead of loval drive i will
use the remote cd drive it is giving this error as I
need to install on the machine which is not having
cdrom drive.

We've our Jumpstart setup and it was working for 2.5.1
also but today I don't know what wrong has happened.
we have our images directory initially I've tried from
there only but it gave same error's then I tried to
install directly from remote cdrom but not successful
though I'm using Jumpstart from last 4 years but could
not able to solve this problem.

both tha machines are on the same net we don't have
different boot server as it is not required.

please help me out I'm badly need the solution for
this.

Thanks and Regards,
Gargi
