Preloading ffbconfig params?

Greetings.
I just scarfed up a 24" monitor that was sitting around
the office and plopped it onto my Ultra2.
I can use ffbconfig and set the resolution to the
apparently only acceptable resolution on this
monitor (1280x1084x76 - every other res appears to
fail miserably... is that correct?) but...
anytime it reboots, the monitor resolution is reset
to an unacceptable blur and I have to manually go in
and honk with it to make it right again.
Ergo, my questions are thus:
1. Does this Creator3D support any higher resolutions
that would make better use of the fatboy 24" Sun monitor?
2. Is there some setting that I have heretofore not
had to muck with that will, upon boot, set the
resolution to a specific resolution since the monitor
doesn't play well with the workstation in an
auto-configuration?
