Moving subdisks after hot-relocation occurs
2007-12-24 20:45:00
Would you please help with a problem regarding volume manager 2.6:
E450 had a controller fail and some of the subdisks relocated as shown below
(excache16-01, 17-01
and 18-01 did not relocate because there was no free space or hot spares left:
v cache3 fsgen ENABLED ACTIVE 212178944 SELECT -
pl cache3-02 cache3 ENABLED ACTIVE 212181480 STRIPE 6/256 RW
sd Hotspare1-01 cache3-02 Hotspare1 0 35363560 0/0 c6t0d0 ENA
sd Hotspare2-01 cache3-02 Hotspare2 0 35363560 1/0 c10t0d0 ENA
sd Logging1-02 cache3-02 Logging1 4712 4712 2/0 c9t13d0 ENA
sd Logging2-03 cache3-02 Logging2 4712 35358848 2/4712 c11t13d0 ENA
sd excache16-01 cache3-02 excache16 0 35363560 3/0 c8t3d0 ENA
sd excache17-01 cache3-02 excache17 0 35363560 4/0 c8t4d0 ENA
sd excache18-01 cache3-02 excache18 0 35363560 5/0 c8t5d0 ENA
Controller had been replaced. My question is do I use the following commands to
move the
relocated subdisks:
vxassist -g <diskgroup> move home !Hotspare1-01 excache13-01
vxassist -g <diskgroup> move home !Hotspare2-01 excache14-01
vxassist -g <diskgroup> move home !Logging1-02 excache15-03
vxassist -g <diskgroup> move home !Logging2-03 excache 15-03
What other commands do I need to run. Any quick response would be greatly
appreciated.
