NFS: TCP vs UDP

has anyone compared NFSv3 UDP vs TCP ? It seems that Solaris 7 uses TCP by
default, while Irix uses UDP. We're running on a fully switched local
network, so dropped packets are really the exception, but before forcing
UDP (which would supposedly reduce the stack overhead) I'd like to hear
from others.
