Veritas problem, request assistance

Here's the background:

E250, used for development and testing (not production), has 4 drives, 2 in rootvg, 2 in datadg. 2nd drive in each VG was a mirror of the first.

I needed some temporary disk space, so I removed the mirror in the datadg and put it in as a second drive in datadg. Created the vxfs, mounted it, and all looked good.

I used vxva to accomplish 'cause I knew I was tired and was afraid I'd miss something if I did it manually. So much for that idea....

Anyway, I started copying files into it and all still looked good.

Then I tried to create a file > 2GB in size. ulimit says "unlimited", but I still get write errors on this drive when it hits 2GB. The other drive in the datadg allows larger files, but doesn't have enough room for all that I need.

Anybody wanna point out what I missed/screwed up? I've got over 250 hours in this month already and I'm not thinking too clearly......

I'll summarize any responses - I promise!

Have a Great Day!!!

Today's Words of Wisdom:
=======================
Windows 98: n.
A sometimes useless extension to a minor patch release
for 32-bit extensions and a graphical shell for a
16-bit patch to an 8-bit operating system originally
coded for a 4-bit microprocessor, written by a 2-bit
company that can't stand for 1 bit of competition.
