cannot remote mount cdrom

Experts,

why can I remote mount the cdrom from machine called alfa to machine called
beta, I've did share /cdrom from alfa and do : beta:> mount -F nfs -o
ro=beta alfa:/cdrom/...
the command error is : RPC program not registered on alfa
Please suggest what step do I miss ?
